Rosemary and Sage Bread

I'm not the best bread baker..YET, I shall not give up!! I do cheat and use my bread maker to mix and give the first rise.. This bread  turned out fine... not pretty... but it is so yummy sliced thin and toasted for breakfast. This is my basic recipe sometimes I use honey instead of sugar and you don't have to have a bread maker to make it.
1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 tsp.  salt
1  tsp.       sugar
1 TBS.      olive oil
3 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp.   yeast (I use dried)
Add any amount of fresh or dried herbs or spices that you want (I used about a tablespoon of each)
1 egg (room temp.)

Preheat oven  @ 450
Grease and flour a loaf pa

add ingrediants to bread maker according to manufacturer
select dough only

let it do its job

When done pour out onto a lightly oiled counter roll into a ball..(dough will be very sticky)  let rest for 10 min.
Useing palms push dough into a rectangle. then roll like a jelly roll , tuck ends under loaf
move to loaf pan.. In a small bowl whisk egg with water and brush over loaf.. Spray sheet of wax paper with oil.. cover.. place in a very warm spot.. ( I place mine on top oven vent on the stove) Let rise for 1 to 2 hours.. Before placing in oven spray water inside.(of oven)  Bake until lightly browned and sounds hollow when you tap it.. Cool for about 30 min. Slice with electric knife and put in zip lock baggies and store in freezer. This bread makes the perfect toast! Just take out of freezer and pop in to toaster.
